Overview The prime objective of the Process Manager is to manage the work activities and resources necessary to produce cement in the most efficient manner possible.
The Process Manager closely partners with the Production, Mining, Quality, Maintenance, Safety and Shipping departments to execute the cement manufacturing process.
Roles & Responsibilities Department manager responsible for visible leadership of safety and environmental performance.
Manages, Trains and Coaches Process team to improve equipment performance and increase overall efficiency.
Optimizes process, performance, and operations of all plant equipment to achieve plant Key Performance Indicators.
Drives optimized utilization of alternative fuels and alternative raw materials.
Takes a leadership role in the training of all production personnel.
Develops processes to closely track production, quality and control systems.
Confers with technical and processing staff to resolve production and process problems.
Leads technical support of implementation of new equipment and procedures including training of plant personnel as required.
Manages projects including, but not limited to projects during plant shutdown by providing necessary resources and directing the activities of staff and outside contractors.
Evaluates operations, processes, and trends using audits and systematic approaches.
Initiates process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant s equipment.
This position has a requirement of elevating the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.
Monitors and interprets the daily quality results.
Analyzes process records and create daily reporting using IP21 and other process tools.
Interfaces with vendors, contractors, and engineering firms in the determination of equipment specifications for plant improvement and expansion projects.
Establishes, monitors, and maintains standard operation procedures needed to solve typical process and systems problems encountered in the plant and to comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Maintains a database containing the base line capabilities of all current equipment and processes.
Coordinates process related activities occurring at the plant.
Provides technical assistance as requested by other plant departments.
Collaborates with Control Room Operators, Shift Supervisors, Coordinators, Managers, and Corporate Engineers to analyze problems and improve operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience Must possess a bachelor s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
Must have experience leading a team and possess strong leadership skills.
Must be able to be on call to respond to production problems at the plant (physical or virtual).
Must have strong time management skills to manage one s own time in addition to the time of others.
Must have the ability to effectively and persuasively communicate (verbal and writing.
).
Must display good employability skills (attendance, job performance, attitude, willingness to work, etc.
).
Must have the ability to pass pre-employment screening which includes physical, background check, and ten (10) panel drug screen.
Prefer Five (5) or more years of cement production experience.
Prefer Preheater/Precalciner cement manufacturing experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
